Despite the Valentine's Day madness, about 4 inches of snow and icy road conditions, we slowly and carefully ventured to the Georgia Aquarium last Saturday morning, (the 13th), to set up for an event in the breathtaking Ocean's Ballroom. The huge ballroom features floor to ceiling views of two of the aquarium's massive fish tanks and the event was expected to have around 600 guests. The arrangements were designed with the aquarium theme in mind and we created different sized pieces which all incorporated calla lilies and were accented with what looked like red coral which added a touch of drama to the room. Regardless of how beautiful and unique the arrangements may have been, nothing could upstage the fish tanks and the experience of watching a huge shark swim by right next to you! We tried to take a few pictures but we didn't manage to get many good ones, (we do flowers, not photos!) but I've posted some of the decent ones!
